Army helicopter crashes in Nagaland, none hurt
Dimapur (Nagaland):A Cheetah helicopter of the army crashed Monday in western Nagaland. Two pilots and an army official on board escaped unhurt, an official said.
"An aviation chopper crashed Monday morning, seconds after taking off from Rangapahar helipad in Dimapur district. The two pilots and an army official on board, however, were unhurt," a defence official said.
He said that the helicopter was on a routine sortie when it crashed nose down from a height of about 10-12 feet at around 10 a.m.
The helicopter was damaged.
The army has ordered an inquiry.
