Achuthanandan returns to his official residence
Alappuzha/Thiruvananthapuram, Feb 22
Former Kerala chief minister V.S. Achuthanandan Sunday returned to his official residence in Thiruvananthapuram from Alappuzha.
The
21st Communist Party of India (Marxist) (CPI-M) conference plunged into
a crisis when 91-year-old party veteran Achuthanandan walked out of the
meeting Saturday in Alappuzha.
The conference began Friday to elect a new state secretary in place of Pinarayi Vijayan, who has completed his tenure.
Achuthanandan
was pulled up at the state CPI-M conference for breaching party
discipline, following which he walked out of the meet and revealed his
intention to step down as the leader of opposition in the state
assembly.
