Chandy seeks help for nurses stranded in Libya

Kerala
Chief Minister Oommen Chandy has sought the help of Minister of External
Affairs Sushma Swaraj to evacuate 80 nurses from Kerala who are
stranded in Benghazi Medical Centre, Libya.
Chandy, who was in
Delhi, on Tuesday requested Swaraj to do the needful and handed over the
details of the nurses to be evacuated.
Chandy also expressed his
sincere gratitude for the successful evacuation of hundreds of
Keralites including nurses from Iraq and Libya last year and early this
year.
These 80 nurses are now stranded at the Benghazi Medical Centre, Libya and had approached the Chandy government for help.
