Captain Amrinder Singh seeks cooperation from nonresident Punjabis

Chicago IL: Punjab Pradesh Congress president and ex Chief Minister of Punjab Captain Amrinder Singh has sought cooperation of nonresident Punjabis to put Punjab on trail of development again. Expressing concern over president critical situation in Punjab he alleged that chief minister of Punjab Prakash Singh Badal and his son Sukhbir Singh Badal are playing politics on every issue whereas the need of hour is to work together for the betterment of Punjab.
 
At present Punjab is reeling under unemployment, the farmers are committing suicides in distress, law and order situation is deteriorating and corruption is everywhere.  Mr. Badal and party are more involved in robbing Punjab. As a result Punjab has been left far behind in development where as it used to the number one state of India.
 
Captain Amrinder Singh, who is on tour of North America was addressing a rally of Congress workers here on April 22, asked the nonresident Punjabis for whole hearted support for Punjab assembly election in 2017. He said this will be his last election irrespective whether he wins or loses.
 
Referring to present Akali-BJP government in Punjab, Captain said that the government has failed on every front and could not make any worthwhile policy for the development of the state.
 
Opening a front attack on Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) captain Amrinder Singh said that we cannot expect much from this new party as it have to prove its worth yet. It is claim a lot but time will tell its worth. He questioned that the party (AAP) which is not based in Punjab, how much it can do for Punjab? He alleged that the drug business is being run in collaboration with politicians of the ruling group in Punjab. Expressing deep concern on chemical the drugs he said that the police will also sheltering this business. He assured that if his in party wins elections, it will make special teams to punish the culprits. The government will adopt such measures that no farmer is forced to commit suicide in distress. He outlined various measures that he will take to reverse the situation in Punjab, if he is given chance to form the government.
 
The congress supporters from neibouring states-Michigan, Indiana, Wisconsin and Ohio also attended the rally.
Sukhwinder Singh Randhawa, MLA from Dera Baba Nanak, Punjab Paresh Congress vice president Kewal Singh Dhillon, ex Minister Malkit Singh Dakha, Rana Gurjit Singh Sodhi, Sukh Sarkaria, Tripat Singh Bajwa, Raghbir Singh Ghun and other congress leaders who accompanies Captain Amrinder Singh from Punjab, were also present in the rally. The rally was also addressed by Manish Kumar Raijada, who has left Aam Aadmi Party and joined congress. 
 
The rally was organized by local congress supporters-Ayodaya Salwan, Dr Harjinder Khaira, Bob Hundal, Ajaib Singh Lakhan, Santokh Singh DC, Ajmer Singh Pannu, Hari OM Mandir and others.
