The Federation of Indian American Christian Organizations (FIACONA) will organize a prayer vigil on June 8 Wednesday, when Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be addressing the joint session of the US Congress.

‘This is not a protest. FIACONA has welcomed Mr. Modi to Washington as he is the Prime Minister of India,’ the organization clarified its position in a statement.

‘This Prayer Vigil is organized to pray for the people of India who are being harassed and intimidated by Mr. Modi's followers and Modi's continued silence,’ it isaid.

‘Show your solidarity. Can you take just 3 hours out of your busy life for the people whose lives are threatened by Hindutva,’ it asked.

The vigil will start at 9 am and continue till 12 noon at 100 Maryland Ave, NE (across the US Supreme Court & US Capitol), Washington, DC
Direction: Take metro. (Orange Line - Capitol South station. Red line - Union Station. Walk 3 blocks towards the Supreme Court).
