Rahul travels out of India on 'short visit'
New Delhi, June 20 A day after his 46th birthday, Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi on Monday said he was going out of the country on a short visit. He did not disclose his destination.
"Travelling out of the country for a few days on a short visit. Thanks again to all who met and wished me yesterday (Sunday), truly grateful for your affection!" Gandhi tweeted.
On his birthday, Gandhi met hundreds of party workers at the Congress headquarters.
His 60-day vacation between in February-April 2015 had raised many eyebrows, with some questioning the timing of his vacation as it coincided with the budget session of Parliament.
He again went on a vacation in December last year for New Year. This was the first time he took to Twitter to make his travel plans public.
