Sailor commits suicide in Kochi

Kochi, June 22 A Navy sailor was on Wednesday found dead at the Naval Aircraft Yard here in an apparent case of suicide.

Roopa Ram, 25, was an Electrical Artificer (Air Radio) at the yard.

"In what appears to be a case of suicide, the sailor was found hanging at the yard," a Navy statement said.

The deceased belonged to Nagour in Rajasthan and is survived by his wife and a nine-month-old son.

"The family has been informed. The Navy has ordered an inquiry into the incident," the statement added.
