June 26th, Las Vegas:
A man went on a shooting rampage in two North Las Vegas apartment complexes on Tuesday morning (local time), murdering at least five people before taking his own life. After a late-night search, police found him shortly before he took his own life on Tuesday morning.

The 47-year-old Eric Adams was named as a suspect in two shootings that occurred on Monday night, according to a news release from the North Las Vegas Police Department. Since he opened fire on two apartment complexes, five people have died and one girl, 13, is in serious condition after suffering a gunshot wound.

On Monday night, reports of gunfire were received by the police from an apartment complex on Casa Norte Drive. The police arrived at the scene and found two women, one in her early 40s and the other in her late 50s, both wounded by gunshots. The police said that medical staff later declared them dead.
A girl victim, aged thirteen, who was also shot, was found later on by the police. The woman was listed in critical condition at the UMC Trauma Centre as of Monday night, according to CNN, citing authorities.

Two women in their mid-twenties and a male in his early twenties were among the three other victims discovered at another adjacent apartment complex, all of whom had gunshot wounds. Authorities stated all three were declared dead on the spot. The quest for Adams started that night when police named him as a suspect.

After a fruitless night of searching, police finally got a tip that Adams was at a store on East Lake Mead Boulevard early Tuesday morning. when the cops showed up, Adams ran to the backyard of a neighbouring house.

"Officers began giving Adams verbal commands to drop the firearm, however, Adams ignored those commands and died by suicide," according to the announcement. The event is still under investigation by the police.
