Washington DC, September 1:
An Israeli-American was among six hostages whose remains were recovered from the Gaza Strip, prompting US President Joe Biden to express his "devastated and outraged" reaction. The vice president characterized the latest turn of events as "tragic" and "reprehensible" on August 31. He issued a clear warning that "Hamas leaders will pay for these crimes" and promised to continue working nonstop for a settlement to free the remaining hostages held by the Palestinian organization.

According to the US president, Israeli authorities found six dead of captives held by Hamas in a tunnel beneath Rafah on Saturday.

An American citizen named Hersh Goldberg-Polin was among the hostages murdered by these savage Hamas terrorists, as we have just learned. That was Biden's words, as stated in a White House statement.

The six hostages who were retrieved from Rafah in southern Gaza were reportedly "brutally murdered" by Hamas just before the arrival of Israeli Defense Force (IDF) personnel, according to Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari, who was quoted by the Times of Israel.

At a news conference following his departure from a Delaware church, Biden proclaimed, "It's time this war ended." "We should end this war."

The statement from Vice President Kamala Harris claimed that Hamas "must be eliminated" and that the group cannot be permitted to govern Gaza.

"The safety of American citizens, wherever they may be in the world, is my highest priority," Harris said, extending her sympathies to Jon and Rachel, the parents of 23-year-old American citizen Goldberg-Polin. Our resolve to end the American and hostage crisis in Gaza is unwavering, and neither is President Biden.

Hamas is a terrorist group that does evil. Even more American blood has been spilled by Hamas as a result of these crimes. Like everyone else, I denounce the ongoing atrocities by Hamas. "Hamas' depravity is evident and horrifying," she said in a statement from the White House, citing the group's 1,200-person massacre, sexual brutality, hostage-taking, and these murders.

After losing a hand in a grenade explosion on October 7, Goldberg Polin was kept captive by terrorists who had entered the Nova music festival.

This has broken the "heart of an entire nation into pieces," according to Israel's president, Isaac Herzog. He stated that the execution of the hostages "proves Hamas's readiness to carry out crimes against humanity." That their safe return was the nation's "sacred goal" was something he underscored. Israel went to war with Hamas after their attacks on October 7. The Israeli officials claim that more than 1,200 Israelis were murdered and 250 were taken hostage during the conflict.
