UT Longhorns meet after almost fifty years
Six University of Texas at Austin Alumni met after nearly fifty years in Houston on April 8, 2017. Their spouses joined them for the special get together. They talked about life at the University of Texas in Austin during 1968 and 1969 when the Long Horns were national champions in football for two consecutive years on the one hand and social activism such as anti-Vietnam war protests and opposition to cut trees to expand the memorial stadium were in vogue. Other topics of interested included typical immigrant student activities such as cooking individually or in groups and supporting each other in succeeding at school.
This covers early immigrants of 1960s in Texas.
