Sunita is preparing for her return. Indian-American astronaut Sunita Williams, who has been stranded in space for the past eight months, along with her fellow astronaut Butch Wilmore, has been informed by NASA that they will return to Earth in March. The launch of Crew-10, which will bring Sunita Williams and Butch Wilmore back to Earth, is scheduled for March 12. NASA is currently awaiting the completion of mission readiness and the certification of the agency’s flight readiness process.

Efforts to bring Sunita Williams and Butch Wilmore back as soon as possible are being expedited by NASA, following a request from U.S. President Donald Trump to SpaceX CEO Elon Musk. The two astronauts have been stranded in space since June 2024 due to a malfunction in the Starliner spacecraft. The mission was originally planned to last only ten days, but due to technical failures, their journey was delayed.
