High temperatures; workers to get rest from 12 PM to 3 PM, orders issued by the Labour Commissioner.

Work Hours Adjusted Due to Extreme Heat; Labour Commissioner Issues Order
The Labour Commissioner has issued an order to reschedule working hours due to the scorching heat. This decision aims to prevent health issues caused by high temperatures. Currently, the state is experiencing extreme midday heat, with temperatures rising 2 to 3 degrees Celsius above normal levels. Therefore, the Labour Commissioner has directed that workers be given a break from 12 PM to 3 PM.

Until May 10, work hours must be regulated as eight-hour shifts between 7 AM and 7 PM. Exposure to such high temperatures can lead to heatstroke and other health complications. To mitigate these risks, the Labour Commissioner has implemented this new regulation. Strict time adjustments have also been mandated, particularly for workers in the construction and roadwork sectors.
