Temple Remains and Idols Found on Pala Diocese Land; Vallappad Temple Authorities Claim Ownership
Temple remnants and idols have been discovered on land owned by the Pala Diocese. Following this, Vallappad Temple authorities have come forward, asserting their claim over the site. They argue that a temple once stood on this land, which is currently under the ownership of the Pala Diocese.

According to their claims, a temple existed at this location centuries ago. They believe the idols were found at the site of an ancient Shiva temple where worship was once conducted. The temple, originally associated with the Koothappadi Illam, is said to have fallen into disrepair and eventually lost its ownership over time.

In response, temple authorities conducted special prayers and rituals at the site. VHP district leader Mohanan Panakkal also visited the location. The idols and stone structures were discovered during land preparation for tapioca cultivation. However, both the police and revenue department have clarified that there are no ownership disputes regarding the land.
