Eighth-Grader Brutally Assaulted by Classmate’s Father for Writing Son’s Name
An eighth-grade student was brutally beaten by a classmate's father for including his son's name in a list of students who caused a disturbance in class. The attacker, an employee of KSEB (Kerala State Electricity Board), stopped the boy on the road and assaulted him. The incident took place at PKHSS, Kanjiramkulam, Neyyattinkara.

The victim, Lijin, was the class leader of the eighth grade. His classmate’s father attacked him in retaliation for writing his son's name on the list of noisy students. The assault happened at Kanjiramkulam Junction, where Lijin was stopped and beaten.

Lijin sustained serious injuries, including severe bruises on his cheek and thigh, and fluid accumulation in his lungs due to the attack. He was admitted to the Medical College Hospital for treatment. The assault was extremely brutal—he was slapped on the cheek, struck on his ribs, and kicked.

Following the incident, the police have registered an FIR against the assailant. CCTV footage of the attack, which occurred on the 6th of this month, has surfaced. Kanjiramkulam police have taken up the case, and Lijin was initially treated at Neyyattinkara Hospital before being shifted to Karakonam Medical College. He was discharged from the hospital yesterday. Police have launched an investigation into the matter.
