An Orphan, Loneliness, and Pain—Wanted a Life"; Fraudster Marries Four Times to Overcome Isolation

Man Arrested for Marriage Fraud After Trapping Women Through Facebook
A man who deceived women by pretending to fall in love with them on Facebook and committing marriage fraud has been arrested. The accused, Deepu Philip, a native of Kasaragod, manipulated women emotionally by claiming to be an orphan and convincing them that marrying him would give him a meaningful life. He used Facebook as a platform to find his victims.

Deepu's fraudulent activities began a decade ago when he married a woman from Kasaragod. After taking possession of her gold and money, he abandoned his wife and children and fled with another woman. Later, while living with another woman in Ernakulam, he deceived a widowed woman and married her in a church. However, he did not anticipate that his fourth wife would be the one to expose his scam.

His fourth wife discovered the truth after receiving information from Deepu’s second wife’s Facebook friend. Based on this revelation, she realized she had been deceived and filed a complaint against him. Following the complaint, Deepu was arrested, and he has reportedly confessed to his crimes.
