JOB FAIR SEEKS TO HELP EMPLOYERS FILL OPENINGS IN ORANGE COUNTY

ORANGE COUNTY, CA – May 11, 2015 – On Wednesday, May 13, 2015 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. OC Supervisor Lisa A. Bartlett and Orange County Board of Supervisors, in partnership with the Orange County
Workforce Investment Board (OCWIB) will be hosting the 2015 South Orange County Job Fair, open to the public. The job fair will take place at the Laguna Hills Mall, 24155 Laguna Hills Mall, Laguna Hills, CA. 600+ job seekers are expected to attend the event and meet employers needing to fill positions in Orange County.

Over 50 employers will be accepting resumes, interviewing and hiring job seekers. Free workshops and coaching on transferrable skills, interview techniques, and resume critique will be ongoing throughout the event. There are also free unemployment resources to assist job seekers. The Orange County One-Stop Center will be hosting preparation workshops through May 12, 2015 to assist in matching job seekers to employment opportunities. Veterans and Orange County One-Stop Center enrolled candidates will have priority admittance to meet and speak with employers before the general public. This VIP hour will be from 9:00 a.m. to 10 a.m., followed by general public admittance from 10 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

The Orange County Workforce Investment Board, through the Orange County One-Stop Centers, offer comprehensive services to businesses and job seekers such as hiring assistance, career transition services and recruiting assistance at no cost.
