Modi, Rutte greet each other in Hindi, Dutch
New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Netherlands counterpart Mark Rutte greeted each other on Friday in a unique manner on social media.
While Modi welcomed Rutte, who is currently visiting India, in Dutch, the latter responded in Hindi on twitter, a release issued here said.
Rutte also tweeted some pictures of the hockey World Cup match between the two nations in 1973, a statue of Mahatama Gandhi in Amsterdam and Holi celebrations in Hague.
Rutte, who will be in India on June 5 and 6, will hold talks with Modi on various issues. He is accompanied by Foreign Trade Minister Lilianne Ploumen and Agriculture Minister Sharon Dijksma, as also a large business delegation.
