Murti Pran Pratistha at Jalaram Mandir draws record crowd
Chicago, IL: Shree Jalaram Mandir located at 425 Illinois Blvd., Hoffman Estates, IL commemorated Iconic celebration of Murti Pran Pratishtha Mahotsav from July 6 to July 9, 2016. After 8 years of renovation and expansion to the temple, grand celebration was performed to install the idols of divinities or Bhagvan. The Murti Pran Pratishtha Mahotsav was started on Saturday, July 2nd with 108 Kundi Shubh Sankalp Yagna followed by Deh Shuddhi Karna Vidhi (day 1), Panchang Karma and Shobha Yatra (day 2), Vastu Pujan, Snnapam Vidhi and Abhishek (day 3) and finally Murti Pran Pratishtha on Saturday, July 9, 2016. This once in a life time historic event was celebrated with Chanting Mantras, Shlokas, dancing, singing, and cultural performances on last day by kids. Mahaprasad was served every day after the Puja Vidhi. The entire event was broadcast live on Airwave and YouTube.
The event included grand re-opening ceremony for major structural upgrades of the temple and installation of nine deities carved from precious 'Makrana' marble stones, along with installation of Statue of Shree Jalaram Bapa. The event was attended by overflowing crowd of approximately 2500 devotees. Major expansion project costing upwards of $3.2 Million was started few years after foundation of Mandir. Trustees had to go back to drawing board for major expansion soon after the opening the doors of temple first time, as the facility had outgrown to accommodate ever increasing number of devotees and visitors. The Pran Pratistha ritual ceremony marked the high point of the Pooja and festivity and invocation ritual after this, the deity statues hence forth considered to have infused life into them or considered as consecrated.
This sacrament was performed by total of 11 high ranking Acharya's who had travelled from different parts of US. They were Sh. Anantbhai Dixit (Main Acharya) from Toledo OH, Jayeshbhai Pandya from Philadelphia, Manishbhai Trivedi from Cleveland OH, Janakbhai Joshi from Birmingham, AL, Yogeshkumar Joshi from Chicago, Mayurbhai Shastriji from Merryville IN, Kaushikbhai Joshi from Detroit MI, Rohitbhai Joshi from Chicago, Satishbhai Joshi from Chicago and Shree Jalaram Mandir Pujari Sh. Keyurbhai Sevak and Dharmendrabhai Pandya. In addition, event was performed under spiritual guidance of Shri Adhyatmanand Swamiji of Shivannd Ashram from Ahmedabad and Shri Rajendra Prasad Shastri from Bhavnagar, India.
The July 9th was recognized as the Shree Jalaram Day in State of IL by the governor, Mr. Bruce Rauner. The event was also attended by Hoffman Estates Mayor William D. McLeod, Trustee Anna Newell, Trustee Michael Gaeta, and Schaumburg Trustee Diane Dunham, Trustee Nimesh Jani, Supervisor Mary Wroblewski, state representative Michelle Mussman,
