Washington, Aug 5

President Barack Obama turned 55 on Thursday and his Vice President and 'best friend forever' (bff) Joe Biden celebrated the occasion by tweeting a picture of the "Joe" and "Barack" friendship bracelets the President made for the duo earlier this summer.

"Happy 55th, Barack! A brother to me, a best friend forever," the Vice President wrote alongside the picture.

Joining Biden in wishing Obama was the President's wife, First Lady Michelle Obama, who posted an adorable, smiling picture of the two of them together, the People magazine reported.

"Fifty-five years young and that smile still gets me every single day. Happy birthday, Barack. I love you," she tweeted.

Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton also wished the President a happy birthday by tweeting a photo of the two of them laughing.

However, the best birthday tweet of all was from former President Bill Clinton, who joked about how many balloons were dropped at the end of the Democratic National Convention last week, the People magazine said.

"Happy Birthday...I would've sent real balloons, but we used them all last week," the former president tweeted.

This was Obama's last birthday celebration in the White House after serving two terms as the President. He will hand over the reins in November.
